{dj-N} Thermodynamix I like this piece quite a bit, but I feel like the production is lacking. Yes, it's clean and technically done well, but it just doesn't really feel like there's enough there. It's also apparent that the ideas for this track were kinda lacking in a way, since this whole song really feels like one idea looked at through different angles. While not inherently bad, it is a little boring. I also think the structuring in this is a little weird? I don't really know. It's just feels off to me, like I can't really figure out what the approach was for it.
Despite that though, I think the growls in this track are done really well, and I especially like the bass in general. The mixing here is done fabulously, and it sounds really good with a nice pair of headphones. I do wish the stabs/lead had some of the high end removed since it's a bit harsh, though, and I think the sidechaining could've been toned back a bit, especially with the part at 1:17. It just feels like a little too much.
Overall, I give this a strong 6 to a light 7
